This is a T-shirt design I illustrated for UNIQLO UTGP T-shirt design competition, celebrating 25 years of Tate Modern.

When I think of "play," I’m reminded of childhood days spent with friends on the school playground. We enjoyed simple games like hopscotch and tag, filled with endless joy. Back then, fun was uncomplicated; even a hop in hopscotch felt full of possibility, transforming each jump into a boundless adventure.

As I’ve grown older, it’s become rare to find joy in these simple pleasures. With so many distractions—exciting TV shows, video games, and movies—I struggle to appreciate the straightforward fun of my childhood. What once felt exhilarating now seems mundane.

This design is a tribute to those cherished memories and a longing for when play was joyful and uncomplicated. Even drawing a hopscotch grid and taking those joyful leaps brought endless enjoyment.
