Fai Chuns are traditional Chinese decorations which people put up at their homes during Lunar New Year. They usually consist of calligraphies written on red paper, featuring auspicious phrases, blessings or wishes.

Through a series of illustrations, I attempt to elevate simple calligraphies into lively illustrations. Three of them feature mythical dragons from popular Chinese folklore, reimagined as various elements, celebrating the year of the dragon in 2024.
